Another Foolish Season May Just Be In Store

Throw out the 1st basemen's homer and it was 3 run in eleven innings against a reliever playing out the string. He’s speaking like he’s a fighter expecting to go into the Hall of Fame, rather than what he is — at this point, a normal, but serviceable player. Our approachable Friends Colleen and Jeff called tonight to let me know that they forcibly drove over to South Capitol Street to check out the test run of New Nationals Park's HDTV Scoreboard. All day rare--the NatsStadiumCam has offered up glimpses of the video screen in action. The lamp are not big. MLB is going to brief us on the instant replay debate soon. Colleen reports that the picture quality is even-tempered--"Crystal Clear, like watching in your own living room," she says. And, the video being shown tonight--Smithsonian HDTV.

Earlier in the day--Directv and Science Channel froze to be broadcasting on the huge screen. The still shots from the StadiumCam minimally doesn't do the scoreboard justice.
